As a small family business, we like to be transparent and honest about our delivery costs. We don’t make any profit from delivering products to our customers and choose to charge for deliveries rather than hiding it in the price of our products.

We work hard to find the best delivery service for every product we sell, and select a service based on the weight, size and fragility of each item. This is automatically calculated for you using the website.

Please note – we are currently not able to deliver large items to Northern Ireland or the Scottish Highlands. We apologise for any inconvenience – it may be that we can arrange transport, but it would be on a case-by-case basis with costs to be determined. Please contact us to obtain a quote.

All delivery charges apply per order, and not per item; you will only pay for the largest item/service in your order. Delivery estimates will be on the product listing, but if you are in any doubt about anything, please ring 01799 520056 or email shop@angelareed.co.uk

Small Item Courier Delivery – £5.50 per order

  • Or free when you spend over £75.
  • Typically delivered with 24-48 hours. Further delivery information.

Large Item Delivery – £60 flat rate per order

  • Free when spending over £5000
  • Including ALL furniture and some mirrors
  • Our delivery team will take any unwanted packaging but this is usually a room-only service, and some simple self-assembly may apply. On some items, such as sofas, we do offer an unpacking service, please ask for more details.
  • Delivery usually take place 5-10 working days after your item being in stock with us, and will be organised in a mutually convenient time slot.

  • If you live locally to our shop and we can deliver using our own vans, then the website will automatically calculate the correct (often lower) delivery cost.
  • Returns of these items – the original £60 fee will not be refunded and an additional £60 return fee will be chargeable. We reserve the right to charge additional handling fees in exceptional cases. Your statutory rights are not affected.

 

Delivery Type

Parcel Delivery - UK Next Working Day Delivery - £5

Typically £5 per order, or free when you spend over £75

Items sent to you by our standard courier delivery service will be delivered by one of our courier partners (normally within 1-2 working days). To ensure the safe and quick delivery of your order a signature will be required upon delivery. All small deliveries are conducted by DPD, who we have found to be excellent.

Our standard courier deliveries take place Monday to Friday on an all-day service 9am to 6pm. For an additional charge, we can usually arrange a Saturday or time specific delivery – please enquire about this by phoning 01799 520056 or email shop@angelareed.co.uk

Deliveries will normally be received in 1-2 working days but in exceptional circumstances this can take longer – we will do our best to communicate with you should this happen.

Regardless of the cost of the items, we take the utmost care to ensure that each individual item is packed safely and securely. Furthermore, we’re serious about the environment and so wherever possible our distribution team use recycled packaging materials to ensure that your delivery and the environment are both kept as safe as is possible!

Large Items (Furniture and Fragile Bulky Items) - £60

With over 100 years’ experience in furniture delivery we are confident that we, along with our expert delivery partners, have the skill to ensure that your delivery will be carried out as efficiently as possible with the least disruption to you and your household.

Our standard Large Item delivery service will place your furniture in the location specified by you. Some simple home-assembly may be required, but often we have already taken care of this for you – unless we think the item is best transported un-assembled. The courier will remove any unwanted packaging but will not, as standard, assemble items for you. If you have any doubts, please ask us for more information.

We are happy to arrange delivery to any UK island location but due to the wide range of delivery complexities to different islands we are not able to provide a standard charge for this. Please complete your order as normal (a £60 charge will be applied) and we will contact you with details of any extra delivery charge as soon as possible. Upon acceptance from you, we will process any further delivery charge which will complete your order in full. However, if you are not happy with the additional charge then you will be able to cancel your order at this point and receive a full refund. Please also note that delivery to a UK island location may increase the lead time for your delivery.

Delivery costs £60 flat rate and is available to the UK mainland only.

  • Our delivery team will contact you as soon as they have collected the product from us to inform you of the delivery slot available.
  • Our delivery team will carefully position the item in a room of your choice and upon request will dispose of all packaging. Please make sure the item will fit into the room and also make sure doorways and hallways on the way are clear and wide enough for it to pass.
  • As a general rule for courier deliveries it is a one man service, so some help may be required to offload the goods. However if you specifically need a 2 man service, please ring us on 01799 520056 to arrange delivery.
  • Please inform our delivery team of any access issues both outside and inside your home that may hinder delivery, for example, small narrow roads, small doorways and corridors.
  • As a rule, most items are assembled except flatpack cabinets, wardrobes and beds.

When will my furniture delivery arrive? 
All furniture products on our website are advertised with either a delivery estimate (to any UK mainland address) or are listed as ‘In stock’. We aim to be as accurate as possible with lead times and pride ourselves on delivering on time all over the country. On the rare occasion that our estimate is not correct, we will be in touch with you as soon as possible to let you know of any delay. If a furniture item is listed as ‘In stock’ it will currently be located in one of our warehouses. We aim to deliver all ‘In stock’ furniture within 1-2 weeks.

 

Returns of Larger Items

To return a large item, or an item delivered by specialist couriers, please contact us directly. As standard, the original delivery charge will not be refundable and a return delivery charge of £60 will be deducted from your refund once the item is back with us. We run the delivery service at break-even, so return journeys are charged at the same rate as the original delivery fee. We reserve the right to charge additional handling fees on returned items – please contact us if you need to confirm the details.

Simply put, your original delivery charge and a second £60 flat rate will be chargeable. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Local Delivery - Within 50 miles of our Shop - from £0 to £60

From £0 to £60, if you live within 50 miles of our shops

If you live locally to our shops, we will deliver all larger items ourselves, using our own staff, in our own vans. Delivery charges vary depending on the amount you spend and the distance you live from the shop – the website will calculate this for you automatically based on your postcode.

  • Our shop staff will contact you to book in delivery directly.
