DESIGN GUIDE

Contemporary

This style is rooted in heritage and traditional shapes and forms, but expressed alongside contemporary colours and accessories. In this style, you will often find forms and objects that have not changed at all since they were first created hundreds of years ago - think an antique chest of drawers next to a contemporary upholstered bedstead.

Many people associate modern style with being cold, stark, and sterile, but you can add warmth with well chosen accessories which still allow you to focus on clean lines and clean, elegant styling.

You won’t find anything in this style with unnecessary embellishments, and typically the style has a more neutral colour palette than most, but you can use an occasional pop of colour to addd personality and interest.
