Whilst we are highlighting 4 of the most common home interior design styles, this is not meant to be a definitive list. Styles are constantly changing and evolving, and you can of course be a combination of several different styles.
But join us as we share the fundamental principles and help guide you toward your ideal interior style!
Contemporary
This style is rooted in heritage and traditional shapes and forms, but expressed alongside contemporary colours and accessories. In this style, you will often find forms and objects that have not changed at all since they were first created hundreds of years ago - think an antique chest of drawers next to a contemporary upholstered bedstead.
Eclectic / Boho
This style is all about pulling together natural and organic elements into a very layered and collected look. You’ll find lots of cane, rattan, bamboo, patterns, and textiles in a Boho style, mixed with bright and saturated colours. Think exotic, playful and with loads of layers.
Country Farmhouse / Organic
Organic modern living is neutral, inviting, and yet polished casual. It stays on the contemporary side, with clean aesthetic and neutral colour palettes, but this Country Farmhouse is all about layering neutral textiles and textures to create interest rather than introducing additional colour.
Industrial
We’ve all seen this style in restaurants and magazines, but at home it can be softened just a touch. Of course, just as the name states – the origins of this style are more factory-esque and use elements of machines, natural building materials and a good dose of black or unfinished metal.
